The Attributes of Awakening
The Heart of Compassion and Forgiveness
with Rabbi Daniel Gigi
4-part series on Tuesdays from 30th May to 20th June
7.30-9.15pm UK time
Online
Join Rabbi Gigi for this 4-week exploration of the 13 Attributes of Compassion and the spiritual pathway of Abraham Maimonides, the chief Rabbi of Egypt in the early 13th century, son of the illustrious Moses Maimonides.
Awakened awareness is accompanied by awakened attitudes of the lev, the heart-mind. These are known as the attitudinal foundations of mindfulness. Over the course of 4 sessions, Rabbi Gigi will introduce and explore these from a Jewish theoretical and experiential standpoint.
On this course we will delve into: forgiveness, kindness and compassion; patience, humility and non-judging; acceptance, trust and equanimity.
Rabbi Gigi will provide home practices which you can use and experiment with, as well as a variety of different explorative exercises during the sessions themselves. No previous experience is assumed or required.

We endeavour to keep costs as low as possible, and to be accessible to everyone regardless of financial circumstances.
The rates for this course are at three levels: Standard, Scholarship and Supporter.
Standard Rate: the Standard Rate is £95.
Scholarship Rate: the Scholarship Rate is £65, and is available to all who cannot afford the Standard rate.
Supporter Rate: the Supporter Rate is £150.
The Supporter rate is an invitation to help keep HaMakom accessible to all by paying a higher rate, and thereby enabling those who would not otherwise be able to, to join the course at a subsidised scholarship rate. We are deeply grateful to all those who allow us to offer scholarship rates to those who need them. In so doing these supporters make more widely accessible the practices for grounding and healing, rooted in the Jewish tradition, which we are privileged to share.
If you cannot afford the Scholarship rate please contact Zac: zac@hamakom.community. No one will be turned away because of their financial circumstances.
